Sis Boom Bah!!
I'll begin at the end this time...any day that ends with you shirtless on the back deck eating ice cream has gotta be good, right?
Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, along with Halloween and St. Patrick's Day. We went out for breakfast, watched Flagstaff's parade with some of Miriam's little buddies, and had some friends over to cookout. It's monsoon season, so as always, fireworks were an unknown, but we saw a few through the trees from our living room around 9 pm (Miriam has long since gone to bed!)

I know I continue to type this each update, but Miriam is just developing by leaps and bounds, and my, oh my, is she a force to be reckoned with. She's fiercely independent, smart, talkative, and very funny. She likes to laugh and to make others laugh. Miriam loves being around other little people and gets SO EXCITED when she sees her friends...she crouches down, puts her hands over her mouth and just squeals with delight. Miriam is very loving and freely offers out kisses and hugs to family, friends, and people she just met. Her talking is probably what astounds us the most,.We can have a full conversation with Miriam, and she knows how to ask and answer questions, point out SO many objects, make demands, and select from options. Hard to believe she'll be 2 in less than 2 weeks...where did our little baby go?!?
