Jason took this photo today of a Forest fire burning 5 miles North of Flagstaff. It is about 20 miles from our house, but a few neighborhoods on the other side of town have been evacuated. No structural damage to this point but the fire is continuing to burn. This is the second fire in Flagstaff in as many days. Yesterday a fire started at an abandoned campsite -- a guy from California left coals burning. We haven't had rain in weeks and the sun is burning hot; prime atmosphere for forest fires. It also doesn't help that this weekend has been exceptionally windy. Fire fighting crews are hard at work -- hoping it is contained soon and damage is limited!
